New leaf...Healthy life

HI LOVLIES!!

I do realize I am the absolute worst at keeping up with this blog!  However with college, a sorority, trying to keep my grades up, and now trying to live a healthy lifestyle that leaves little room for being on my laptop.
I don't know if y'all have heard of Blogilates.com but I have found that I am slightly addicted to her 1. wonderful workout videos (ALL ON YOUTUBE SWEET!)
2. She has an app (I REPEAT AN APP) you can keep up with other girls on this app and help motivate others and share recipes.

if you haven't checked her out yet I sincerely think you should lol.
I am currently addicted to watching the food network any chance I get in order to live a healthy lifestyle so if you see more than the occasional recipe on here that's why.

One show on the Food Network I have now found as a new favorite of mine is The Pioneer Woman I love this because of my southern origins and because all of her recipes are so wholesome.  This next recipe is one I just saw on her show today.  I have not tried it due to lack of ingredients however I will be getting them soon.  And it looks delicious.

sunrise punch

*There is no determined measurements for this recipe

In a blender throw in some ice.  Pour in (your amount) of Orange Juice, and then pour in (your amount) of Pineapple Juice (not my favorite so a little less in my version).  After this put in Milk in (keep in mind that there needs to be plenty of milk about the amount of the two others combined).  Once this is done put in I would say around 1/4 to 1/2 a cup meringue powder (this gives it a frothy texture) and then about a 1/4 a cup of powdered sugar.  Blend and put in cups to enjoy.

Courtesy of a recipe on the Food Network!

Another recipe which I found on The Pioneer Woman was her Tomato Salad this inspired my lunch today which was slightly different from her recipe.

Tomato Salad
Cut up about half a box of cherry or grape tomatoes (she used large tomatoes however I only had grape tomatoes)  After this pour vinaigrette over the tomatoes not too much but enough to coat them. ( I used Greek vinaigrette because that's all I had) Add on top fresh basil and parsley ( I didn't have either but I had dry basil which I shook on top) and mix.  However I also added about two small spoonful's of feta cheese.
This was a healthy and very delicious lunch that I will definitely be making more often.

What are your favorite recipes??

Rough Day, Rough Semester

This blog has lost much of what it used to be due to my loss of time.  I just want to say for the record I do care about this blog and I am still going to be posting to it just not as often as I would like to.

So I made it into a sorority Gamma Phi Beta and I love my new sisters more than anything especially my twin.  its not official we aren't twins yet but we are so much alike it has just kind of stuck with us.

Im making some major decisions In my life recently and I like where I think my life is headed.  I am not ready for the world to know exactly what my plans are when my own family doesn't know half of it yet.

some of the things I can tell you is that I am planning on studying in Hawaii next spring!!!(cue happy dancing) When I was there for the pro bowl I fell in love with the island and I would take any chance givin to go back there.

And I have yet to get an exam grade of higher than a 75% so in other words shit is getting real at University of South Carolina and I am in for it.

New school, New house, New life, Same blog

Ahhh ok I am severely sorry!  I have been saying that alot in my last couple of posts and that makes me sad I do not get to post as much as i would like to anymore due to going back to school, which unlike most of you, I never stopped.  I went to college for the Fall of 2013, Spring 2014, Summer 2014 and now Fall of 2014 someone just shoot me.  I did however end up passing all of my classes this summer (YAY!)

So let me tell you about this new life first off it is hella stressful living on your own I am almost 20 and I feel like I am just starting to be an adult!  My house (yes i said house not apartment) is super nice I love it along with my 3 absolutely wonderful roommates.  I started school two weeks ago and most of my classes are ok except for my math class I am stuck in a math class full of FRESHMEN (no insult meant) I was a freshman last year there's nothing wrong with being one, however there is a certain level of unease being in a class surrounded by people younger than you.  Mind you I have done this before in high school when i transferred, it is just not wanted.  I am taking Ancient Greek (you may look at me like I am stupid now)  however i am genuinely interested in it! It makes me happy (though it is definitely hard)!  I literally just ran across campus because i only have 20 min in between two classes that are literally probably atleast a good two miles away from each other.  Hectic I tell ya!

Anyways so my style in the past month has gotten a freakin makeover from hell and back.  Wondering why?  Firstly because I am now in a sorority(please refrain from rude and hurtful posts you are always welcome to your opinion I only ask you don't trash me for being in one) I am very proud of where I ended up and I couldn't be happier with my new sisters.  I am a proud member of Gamma Phi Beta and I wouldn't change it either.  However, when you do get a bid you have to hold yourself to a higher standard.  I am now being pushed to be the best part of myself and I can't wait for the outcome.  Now another reason my style has changed would be just the area I live in.  Nikes and T-shirts (my go to option) is more acceptable since most people in the area hike the campus as a pass time lol.  Another thing is during gameday it is a must that you wear a black &/or garnet and a pair of cowboy boots.  So my style has not really changed but what i wear of my clothes has.

On another note the weather here in Columbia is crazy mess.  Its been in the high 90's for the past two weeks and when hiking campus is your pass time it makes looking decent for class a major problem.  Speaking of how about me going to class this morning looking like i rolled out of bed(cause thats exactly what i did) in a jacket and jeans remember that high temp yeah my Iphone told me it would rain today....lying piece of shit.  Anywho i sat in the same seat next to same person i always had but something was different today.  I had been more social I talked and when the guy next to me was talking to me I was getting nervous....guys he was adorable.

So with all of that said
I love yall and i hope yall have a wonderful day loves

OMG....Freaking out!

I know you all must hate me sooo much and I will continue to apologize many times through out this entire post (Psst Im Sorry).  I have been so busy with preparations.  Guess what???? I got accepted into The University of South Carolina!!!!!!!! IM officially a Gamecock!  So incase you guys don't know too much about big universities they are extremely expensive and so my whole summer I have been freaking out money wise $$$$$ Tuition alone is going to cost me an arm and a leg!  The moral of the story study hard kids make good grades and get scholarships.
Summer school....now that's something I am not very happy about!  Im taking three classes and saying they are easy would be an understatement!  Between Math, Philosophy, and Human Sexuality I am about to murder myself.  Not to mention my asshole of a professor (ever dealt with one of those? they are the best right)
Someone save me from the torture!

Hair obsession

So lately I have been really obsessed with DIY hair recipes and guess what?  I can fit all of my hair into a ponytail now!!!!!!!!!!! I may be a little too excited about that fact Oppsies.
So I have found a few things I'd like to share with you guys.

One of the best things for your hair is Olive Oil.....I know this sounds crazy but if you put 2 tablespoons of this in your hair for 30-40 minutes with a hot towel wrapped around it before your shower It can heal split ends, and promotes growth.  I have done this for two nights in a row and I can say my hair has never been so soft.  I have heard people use coconut oil since I started researching however I prefer olive oil, with coconut you have to melt it first.  I also much prefer the consistency of olive oil.

I also made an all natural hair lightener you can find it on my other blog: DIY Beauty Recipes

I would love to hear from you guys! What are your favorite DIY beauty recipes?
